exaust ??? help ?

k im taking my exaust off so i can punch my cat out. i have everything off but, past my cat there is a hose going straight into the pipe and goes up into the car ? i can't get the hose off ? can i cut the hose? what is it and will it hurt anything ??? if i just cut it???

Whao, whao whao. Don't cut anything. Your not going to have any hoses coming off your exhaust. If you are referring to the WIRE that comes off your cat back exhaust and goes in the car under the drivers seat that is your downstream O2 sensor and you do not want to be cutting this. There should be a 21mm or 22mm nut on it going in at the side of your exhaust that will allow you to take it off. This is going to have to go back in your new cat back or you will get a check engine light. Make sure you use plenty of WD40 to get it lose most of the older ones are pretty siezed up on there. Make sure not to get any chemicals on the element though. Once you get that off you should be able to take the exhaust off pretty easy after that.

yeah i took that wiere looking thing off of the cut kinda looked like a ground, im not talking about that though, the thing i am talking about is a small hose past the cat,
it take like a 3/4 wRench but its stuck on there, and it hooks right into the pipe,

can, I just cut the freakin wires and splic them back together this is driving me insane!!!

Yes, you can cut and re-connect them. I had to do this when my 2G exhaust just wouldn't let go.

Don't cut it. You can disconnect it from under the drivers seat and then run it out the bottom of the car. It's not a hose though. It is wires covered in a heat shield tubing.

I ended up cutin the dumb thing
now im just running a down pipe till i get a real exaust when i do that do i have to re instull that o2 sensor in the rear? or not i have had one check engen light come on but it went off and stayed off so far ?
