evo3 housing w/ dejon down pipe question

I bought an evo3 o2 housing off here a couple months back and I got a dejon tool DEJON | Powerhouse Its the 2 3/4" for $219. It has a flange that the bolt holes are 4" apart, from center to center of each hole. The o2 housing is 2" but could be ported to inner flange at2.25" and the bolts are little under 3.75"

Anyone know whats going on here?

The o2 housing has the umbers 674 2 on housing and 9k13 on exit flange

The evo 3 o2 housing is not the same as the 1G or 2G o2 housing and will require modification to the downpipe to get it to properly work since the flange is angled differently. Or if your downpipe has slots in the flange where it bolts up it may work without modification.
 
I don't think what you have is an evo3 o2 housing. It looks more like the stock 2g one. Have a look at this picture below; The evo3 is on the left, the stock 2g is on the right. From your pictures, its hard to tell, but you can make out the circular boss where the stock heat shield bolts to similar to the 2g o2, whereas the evo3 o2 has more of a semi-circular boss. Compare yours to the picture and I believe you'll find that you have a 2g o2 instead of the evo3...

I believe you have a 2g O2 housing as well, I have no casting numbers around the flange of my EVO3 housing and where you have the casting numbers there's a nice lip of material
 
K so I don't have the evo housing and I dont have the dudes screen name on here just his email. Waiting for an email back. But I was wondering shouldn't it still hook up? arent the 1g,2g, and evo housing the same flange? Just the evo is angled different. So a stock pipe should be able to bolt on any of these housings cept with the evo angle problem??

Anyone got the measurement from bolt to bolt on the 1g,2g, and evo3 housing? Thanks.

That's a good question. Intuitively, I don't think anybody would be bolting an evo3 o2 housing to a stock downpipe. Instead, most will have upgraded the downpipe to something like a Megan, Apexi, etc. Looking up pictures of these aftermarket downpipes, most will have slotted bolt holes so whether or not the studs on your o2 housing are spaced a little wider or a little narrower than usual, it will still work. This is why I believe most who try using a regular downpipe made for 1g/2g o2 housings with an evo3 o2 housing will report that the housing bolts on, but the angle becomes a problem when the downpipe is shifted and hits the oil pan. While it "bolts on," the evo3 o2 may still have different bolt spacing than the 1g/2g.

I would verify this but I sold my evo3 o2 housing awhile ago.
 
The bolt spacing is in fact different, I just measured my stock O2 housings and the studs measured approx 3 1/2 inches apart. When referencing my EVO3 housing, I checked the gasket I had ordered to match and that uses a 4 inch on center bolt spacing. I did originally have an issue with the downpipe hitting the transfer case causing the downpipe flange to mate at an odd angle. Once I had the flange re-welded to more suitable angle it bolted right up. Just for giggles, I'm using a Apexi N1 system.
