Hello. I was just wondering if it is possible to put an evo 8 Front Mount on a GSX? Does anyone have any photos?

Anything is possible with the right amount of money, but honistly after doing this shit for so long if you cant just get a kit for your car or something of proven dimensions then save untill you can and you wont have to deal with blowing IC couplers or "Making" angles from rubber piping. See what I mean?

The deal w/ most anything from evo's, is its completely backwards from our cars. The evo is mounted 180 degrees from what ours is. So MOST everything we would want from it is backwards, like turbo, ic, etc. So yes, its possible to use the core. But you can use the core from ANY ic and just make pipes. So yes its possible, but like ^^^^^ said, just get a kit. I recommend an eBay kit. They're cheap, and most have been proven to work very well.

Yessir. I would just get a kit. Even if one manages to put the evo core on the GSX for the same price as the $300 SSAC kit, the SSAC kit still tops it in every way but 1.. stating the fact your core came from an EVO.

I would look at all your other options unless you got the EVO core for free, and the grand total of putting it on will not cost more than $100 in parts and labor.

Yes, it's possible but you'll need custom piping.
Here's a couple pictures I found.

I personally don't like the way it looks on our cars at all. Plus, it will probably end up costing you the same if not more money than the tried and true SSAC kit. SSAC FMIC FTW.

i got it for dirt cheap...Pipes didnt cost a lot...Took a day with non of the proper tools to make....

It works great. Plus I can say I did it my self...Im just cheap too... But ya, Ill get those other pics later.
It looks crappy in these pics...

Yeah, GSXeclipse it's the same car, same FMIC. It just looked tall because the way our bumpers are shaped.
And yes, I think it looks like shit too. I would only use an EVO FMIC if I was given it for free.

Who cares what it looks like...

Its a performance mod, and thats all you should be concerned about....

If you dont like the look, paint it or throw mesh in front of it.....

Everyone is saying that the SSAC kit is $300 shipped but I can't find it anywhere at that price. On the SSAC site it says the 2g kit is like $650. I was even thinking about just getting a one of there cores and do the piping myself. If you can post the link or pm that would be awesome.

I agree that it doesn't look as good on the GSX. It seems to sit up a little to high. I love the look of the end caps but it sits to high on the car.

This is from the SSAC site. I would say that the description contains a misprint since it says "2ND GEN ECLIPSE" but the Product # is DSM_IC_FIRSTGENPIPES. When in doubt, email or call them. :talon:

How hard would it be to pipe it yourself? You dont want the pipes to be to long right? Doesnt that decrease spool?
