I figured I would start a thread about swapping evo 8 valve train in to a 1g head.
I have swapped in evo 8 valves springs retainers with no issues but was wondering about the rockers and lifters? I have heard of this being done but have no proof of its success.

I know people sell 3rd gen lifters and say it will work on an evo 8-9 head.

Please post what you know works so we can have a thread that informs people how to upgrade their valve train for cheap.

You can use the entire valvetran. The only thing that will need to be modified is the cams, other than that everything will drop right in. Heres a breakdown of the benifits.

Lifters - 3g/non-ticking lifters.
Rockers - stamped and lighter than our cast ones.
Intake valves - same part number as ours.
Exhaust valves - sodium filled stems, helps dissipate heat and reduce weight.
Springs/Retainers - behive spring design with aluminum retainers

Rockers - stamped and lighter than our cast ones.

Stamped and probably stronger but I've heard heavier than our cast ones. The cast ones are also discontinued from the dealer with the new stamped ones super ceding them.
