Evo 3 Double Synchro 3rd gear

I want to order an evo 3 3-4 gear set so I can get the double synchro 3rd gear option. I was wondering if I would also need an evo 3 intermediate shaft for the gears to mate up to?

You need a lot of stuff to get it to work in a 2G. You can't just pop the gear in there.
