i have a 1992 talon awd 5-speed, and i need to know what ecu will work? i have heard that the 4 digit code on the side is the calibration code which is whats important. others have said that the 2 rows of numbers on the top are what matters? i bought an ecu from a 91 laser turbo, but im not sure if it was awd or not. any help on what i need to solve this problem is appreciated. thanks

I was just wondering what it all involves to make a 1990 GSX 5spd EPROM ECU work with my 1991 GSX 5spd car?

I have heard about swapping 2 pins or something to that nature. Is there any soldering involved and is it very hard to do? I found one for 120.00 and don't know whether to buy it or not.
Thanks for any help
