Im having a problem here every time i start the car it revs up to 1500 rpms and just drops and dies every time if i start it and give it gas real quick i can ceap it running also when i hold it at about 2k rpms it seems to miss and drop to 18k or 19k rpms and come back to 2k but as soon as I let off the gas and pus hthe clutch the car dies and there is a click from the dash any info would be great. thanks

sorry I ment 8k to 9k  and no it didnt do this before I got the ecu fixed I just wanted to replace them before they started leaking and the car left me stranded but this is a pain

i'm assuming you mean 1800-1900rpm ;)
does it just do this when it's cold? anytime? my guess is that it's something similar to my car. when it's cold, the belt on the alternator isn't working perfectly, and my voltmeter reads 12-13volts (usually while squealing). i just rev for a few seconds or let it idle for a few minutes and everything works fine.

my guess is it's the alternator

i'm in the same boat as you. I had the same symptoms as you, replaced the ECU, ISC, plugs wires and the MPI relay and now my car woll turn over but it won't start

no it starts and idles fine when cold but once it gets to normal operating temp is when it stalls at every stop and then when you start it back up it starts and dies right away you have to have your foot on the gas to keep the revs up when you start it to keep it running but only after it warms up as long as its cold it will start

My car had a good cold idle but would drop to 450rpm's when hot the bounce and stall it was my timing belt it jumped.

Might be a long shot, but check the fuel filter. I have heard
sometimes junk in the filter can loosen up and clog the fuel
lines after the car is warmed up. Hope it is that easy for you. :thumb:

Im in the same boat, when its cold , the car starts normally and runs normally, after I turn it off and come back to turn it on in a min or so, it quickly dies, or tries to keep the rpm at liek 500, trying not to die, After some revving and driving it will idle normally, I think it may be a leak in the throttle body, I gotta check it out.

im having a similar problem in my 2g spyder n/t, only my check engine light is on. would a bad fuel filter cause the engine light to come on? the car runs fine but has randomly died once. it started right back up but then imediatley died. it did this for about a minute and started up, so i let it idle for about two minutes and went on my way. the check engine light is still on. my friend thought maybe i got water in witrh the gas cuz the light didnt come on until after i washed my car. but i thought that was a long shot cuz i had the cap and the fuel door closed. i replaced the battery and had the alternator checked last thursday. any ideas?
