i was wondering i have a 96 eagle talon nonturbo and i was wondering if i can swap a 95 4g63 turbo engine to my car since it is a 420a nonturbo engine? also how much hp can my stock axles handle? for my 96 eagle talon non turbo?

im pretty sure you can do this swap, ive known a few people that did this to their 2nd gen eclipse, and their all the same car just different names, as far as the axles im pretty sure you would be fine if the engine was stock or with basic mods, but if you decide to do some major boostin and creating a lot of hp, then you should upgrade to the turbo axles or purchase some aftermarket ones. goodluck

from what i have heard during my time in the dsm community, the 4g63 swap is damn near impossible without a good amount of money, ie....6k, unless you install it yourself. 6k for 200chp is not a good deal. for that same amount, you can have a fully built engine and an intercooled turbo kit pushing out 400 or so hp with some tuning. it would be cheaper in the long run to look into a turbo kit for the 420a:dsm:

i agree, even tho it is possible to do, it does cost a lot of money and it is very time consuming and will cause many headaches, if i had the 420a i would do the star/hahn turbo kit and tune on that

everything is possible with money

nobody has done it, so as for now, i would say that in terms of feasibility that it would run is slim to none.

i challenge anyone that thinks they are gonna do this swap to post pics as they are doing it.

if you are asking these types of questions there are one of two scenarios that could be possible 1) you dont know enough and therefore couldnt complete the swap anyways or 2) you know something that nobody before you has... how to swap a 4g63 into a 2gnt chassis.
