I have a 93 eclipse gst
(rebuild engine with 400 miles) and sometimes when it is idling it will "magically" rev up to 2-3500 rpm while warming up/ warmed up. I am aware of the normal isc issue noises and this is somewhat different... The Biss was not turned in very far and I set it to idle at 750 rpm while at normal operating temp... Hope this helps out if not what might be the prob?? Car also continues to drive with foot off gas and clutch when "left to die". This problem improved a little by lowering idle... Thanx

Your foot is off the gas and clutch and it continues to drive? By that do you mean it continues to accelerate? If so did you check the throttle cable to see if it's getting stuck?

Im guessing he means the car in gear and off the clutch. I think you might be correct on the cable.

:( Found the problem the bastard had replaced the master cylinder and installed an ACT 2600 pressure plate... He never properly bled the master cylinder and to fix the problem he put a large stud into the slave cylinder and adjusted the master cylinder all the way out on the clutch pedal!!! I absolutely hate bleeding theses things.... My 91 gst I worked on like crazy when the master cylinder and clutch went out took me about 5 hours of bleeding to get her to actually work and that clevis pin is the devil!!! :ohdamn:   :notgood:

I will check the throttle cable if the problem continues after tightening the biss because it was ran most of the way out!!
