Ok pulling the motor ran with no oil what should i do to it? i want about 300 hp any mods needed in the engigne while i have it all apart. Also i know i need new bearing and crank so should i get a upgraded crank or what.
 
If your goal is 300hp, a stock rebuild will be fine. A stock 7 bolt will hold about 450hp.

I would just replace what needs to be replaced, and it wouldnt hurt to eliminate the balance shafts while you got it ripped apart.
 
thats exactly my goal 300awhp, 7 bolt should be fine, dont forget to get ARP studs while the motor is out, im trying to achieved that with a T28, but with a e316G should be fairly easy, just my .02
 
I'd hold out hope for that crank - you might be surprised. I had a drain plug fall out and toast an engine and the crank survived - it just cooked my cams. I had it micropolished and it was good as new. Just make sure you don't have it turned unless it's absolutely necessary - it will take off the nitrite coating.
 
Guys im sorry it's a 6 bolt from the gsx (my other car) im not use to having two of them still sorry. So nothing you would do whie i got everything out?? It has a tre stage 2 tranyy in it. Stock justr about everywhere else kinda 3 inch full exuahst, Upper intercooling piping, greddy rs bov, greddy boost control, Glow shift gauges Intake pipe and filter and i think thats it nothing too major. So nothing in the motor what going to give me the best punch while it's out. I am kinda looking for a reason to up the power a nice bit while it's out:thumb:

Leave the bottom end stock beside a BSE kit. Then for the head a set of cams, ARP's and 3G lifters would be a nice upgrade for the head.

I'm eventually shooting for over 400AWHP, and I'm going for that on a basiclly stock 6 bolt besides ARP's, BSE kit, 272's, and 3G lifters.
