Hey guys, I am just now getting back into the DSM game after about 5 years. Long story short, I have a 2g, previous owner kinda did a hack job with splicing grounds and running incorrect gauge wire to everything and now I am trying to rewire everything and clean everything up. Now I need some sort of write up or diagram showing what gauge wire everything should be. Also I have random sensors I am no longer using like cruise control, theres no a/c, etc so I want to clean up the harness. Any help would be appreciated, I have searched and couldn't find anything. Thanks

Ill post some pics of my bay tonight and the schematics stay tuned! If you are going to get into this its good to grab a haynes manual its like my bible

When I started removing things from my bay I got to a point where I just deloomed my harness and slowly unwound it, depinning things I didnt need. As far as what gauge wire, i just went to a local electronics repair shop with a chunk of OE wire and he did the rest to order it up for me, I didnt need much though. So maybe that will work for you as well.

This.
Get a factory service manual, the online stuff is missing some things. However, the MFI diagrams on the ECM Link site are good. Make sure you get a factory service manual for your year car as there are some differences between years.

All the factory wiring is usually 20-16AWG with things like headlights, main powers, grounds being bigger.

There is lots of info in the electrical how to section of the forum posted by both myself and others.

I didn't realize the online ones were missing info. Looks like time to find a paper manual. Good to know. Thanks!
