engine leaking oil..need help

I had a friend change my timing belt, and fix an oil leak. He resealed the head gasket but he said that most of the leak was coming from underneath the engine and also he said that its a small valve, screw like thing thats went bad and needs to be replaced and he said that i can even do it myself as long as i get the part. He didn't have time to order the part and change it for me. Now I'm wondering is what he said true or was he just screwing with me so that he wouldn't have to do a lot of work? Has anyone else had this oil leak too and if so what is the part called and is it easy to change?

is he talking about the oil pan drain plug, if so im sure the threads would almost have to be completely stripped for it to leak, or just not screwed in all the way. now ive heard of some peoples oil pans getting cracked from the exhaust down pipe rubbing up against it. but it could be several places, your gonna have to clean the engine all up and look to find where the leak is comin from.... possible places are: drain plug, head gasket, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, crank seals, crank sensor, cam sensor, knock sensor, or a cracked oil pan... just look around and you'll find it.

How did he reseal the headgasket? Did he replace it?

My car dosent leak oil, It sweats from all of the horse power thou and that look alot like an oil leak, BUT ITS NOT!
