Question: Is it absolutely necessary to get machine work to your block/crank etc. when you rebuild your motor? I am certain my rods are knockin annd im about to spin a bearing :thumbdown . I know for sure its not lifter tick cause its coming from the bottom of the motor and its audible at every rpm. Just curious about how to do this, i havent really "built" a motor but i know im capable of the task plus my uncle's a mechanic and we're both meticulous about everything so....any input would be helpful.
Edit: btw i havent talked to my uncle about any of this yet
