hey guys i just installed my vpc and the car is runnig extremly rich its flooding the engine what am i doing wrong help please

the car is basically stock 450 injectors, 255 pump, the ecu does have a tmo chip do i need to get a vpc chip for it? and i pretty much does it as soon as turn the car on it won't iddle at all and its just spitting alot of fuel the cars not even driveable

well i have a chip from tmo not sure it thats the problem i was told it was a 550cc chip so i need to get the chip from hks? i do have a afc and the car runs fine with just the afc but when i put in the vpc it funs like ass wont even idle does anybody know how to wire this thing i think thats the problem.

everything is set to 0 right now i but no matter wich way i turn the nobs noting seems to help

First things first. Is it your ECU that has the 550 chip, the VPC that has the 550 chip, or both? I'm guessing the VPC probably has a 550 chip because that is usually the standard. Now, if your ECU ALSO has a chip, then yes, it will run like total ass until you get the AFC wired in as well. Well, since you have 450's I guess if either one has a 550 chip its going to run like shit. Whichever has a 550 chip, replace it with a 450 chip or get some 550's. You can just "tune it out" with a VPC, it's not set up to do that.

Second, make sure it is hooked up correctly. Follow the instructions etc.

Third, for a baseline set your Response to Max or a few clicks back. Set your gain to -12. Idle to -6, and Op Out to zero. Once it idles and all that, DONT mess with it. The VPC is there to tell your ECU how much air is going into the motor. Dont fiddle with the knobs trying to "tune" it. That is what your AFC or GCC is for. Also, if installing the AFC, find the AFC+VPC install FAQ. There is a special way you're supposed to install the AFC apparently.
