So I am going to do a motor build on my other dsm and this one I want to do myself (well with someone that has done it before to gain experience)
I had a shop build my car. So here are my questions:
For rod bearings and main bearings what sizes does everyone typically go with?
.10 .20 .30 under or standard?
What are the pros/cons of going sizes under the standard?
And if it matters, I will be rebuilding a 7bolt

Yep, stock motor w/ 120k. Thanks man.

What's the best way to know if my crank is going to be good for a rebuild? Do I have to take it to a machine shop or can I just look for specific things myself?

Its always reccomended to take everything to a machine shop before a rebuild, they wil tell you, you want a good mating surface but obvious signs would be scratch marks, any wear or signs of spun bearing marks.
