Engine Bay Paint Job?

Well everyone, thanks for all of the info. I was wondering where I could take my car to get this done, because I'm in no way able especially on my own to dissect my engine bay, better yet have the paint and proffesional skills to do it myself. Where should I go to get everything done, including the paint/engine bay dissection?

Forget what everyone has said...you can do it.

Just leave the motor in, cover the electrical componets and belts.

Then just have the whole thing painted over. Itll be sick a completely black engine bay to match the car.

Thats how i would do it...no need to remove anything and it will all have fresh paint! I mean whats the worst that could happen, right?

Do NOT do this, for a few reasons.

1. It is going to be impossible to clean the entire bay correctly so they paint will adhere.
2. It is going to be impossible to paint all the way to the bottom of the engine bay with the engine in.
3. It is going to be impossible not to miss places where wires and hoses are running along the firewall and sides of the bay.
4. It is going to be impossible to cover EVERYTHING, so a lot of stuff will have overspray
5. It will not end up looking good and it will be clear that you tried to cut corners.
