Empty transfer case?

I was pulling the motor and tranny to do a lot of over due maintenance, as I start to drain all the fluids I get to the Tcase and it's empty! I drove a total of 31 miles to the shop where I took it apart, the T case didnt make a sound. I poured some 75 w 90 through it and no metal came out. It turns just fine, everything looks well lubricated not dry. When I bought this car it was a garage ornament for about a year, other than those 31 miles it had not been driven on. Should I be concerned?

Yes you should, sounds like you have a transfercase leak & had a good chance of experiencing transfercase lockup if you continued to drive without finding the issue. Check the seals & the yoke itself, this is a common area to leak. See the vfaq for more info:
