Here in Connecticut we have tail pipe sniffing for 95 and older vehicles, and for 96 and newer they hook up a scan tool and check that all readiness monitors are completed and make sure they can command the check engine light on. When disable your rear o2 sensor and your EGR valve, on the printout for emissions, does it show up as "Not supported" Do the people at the emission test spots know if the vehicle is supposed to have these, or do they have the information in the computer to let them know if the vehicle is supposed to be equipped with the said parts. I am jsut curious right now since my emissions is still good untill next year.

I am guessing the sniffer will show that you arent passing emissions, they probably use it along with the scanner for 96 and newer cars. I've read you can put some e85 in your tank and pass. You also wan't to drive on the highway for a while right before you go in. Do you have the road side sniffers that catch cars drving and it takes a picture of your plate?
