Alright .. heres my plan
I own a 90 fwd eclipse and i want to lower it. Its already a 13 sec car so im not just ricing it up but i would like it to cosmetically look a little better. I originally wanted to go with GR2's and a Sportline setup. My friend has it on his civic and he has a smaller profile tire than i do and i didnt mind the ride at all. I read people saying the GR2s are bad for lowered vehicles cause they go out really fast.
My car is fwd turbo and i have 235/45/17's on the front and 215/45/17's on the back. Reason being i get tires for dirt cheap and the back ones for free .. I'd like to run 215's if i could ahold of some but for the time being i figured it wouldnt hurt to have some bigger ones on the front for traction since i had the option. Now i want to be able to lower the car and not rub.. if thats possilbe.. the 235's arent on the front wheels yet but if they will fit im going to go ahead and have them mounted. If not ill hold off until i can get a set of 215's for the front two. In any case i would like to know what a cheap affordable aftermarket shock/strut would be. Its a dsm .. main purpose is to surprise and kill ..
.. but i would like it to look decent. GR2s just fit in the budget being $150ish on ebay new. And the sportlines are a nice drop and quality set of springs.
Please help me out if you have a chance!!
Thanks guys i appreciate it..
Luke
