I was thinking about buying the Tein Type Flex coilovers and The EDFC that it is compatable with, but i heard that the "motors" or whatever controls the dampening on the front coilovers do not clear the factory hoodline. Is there any truth to this?

I think the GSX was good to go, but the GS-T MIGHT have problems. however i've heard of atleast one gs-t owner with the EDFC that clears without a problem

There is a guy on 2gnt that has the edfc and he has no problems... i heard too about hood clearances but if they fit then i may go that route

My friend Sal which goes by TotalBoost here on the boards has a gst spyder along with the tein flex coilovers with the edfc and it seems like he didnt have any clearence problems. I bet if you get in touch with him he will be able to help you out.
