Ive searched and haven't found any threads, I want to relocate my ecu to the glove box for easier access when tuning. I really just want to know if theres any major downfalls and what issues I might run into.

Thanks,
M4Dboost

PS- If this has been covered could someone link me to the page, thanks again.

Not sure if its been covered or not, but seems like it would be a pain in the ass to me. You would have to lengthen every wire in the harness to reach to the glove box. I dont really see why there would be any downfall to it, unless youd happen to cross some wires.

I don't get it. You don't need to have access directly to your ecu to tune. That's what a laptop is for. The only time you would have to get your hands on the ecu is if there was a problem or you needed to remove it to have it socketed or something. Moving it would require moving all the wires with it too which wouldn't be fun trying get all that in the glovebox. I just don't see any benifits from such a move.:(

If he's tuning by erasing and burning EPROMs it needs to be accessible to not be a pain.

Do you even know how or with what you will be tuning? you dont need access to your ecu to tune it. theres not any knobs or buttons on it.

I was talking to my friend about evoscan and he told me that it directly connects to my ecu, I thought it connected to my OBD port? But I took his word for it and asked you guys, he hasn't really steered my wrong before, LOL and now I look like an Asshat, sorry for the troubles, maybe he was talking about burning?
