Ebay Motor Rebuild Kits any good??

Mitsubishi Eclipse 2.0 Turbo Engine Rebuild Kit | eBay

Are these rebuild kits any good? I am looking for a basically stock rebuild kit to hold 300-350 hp. What do you guys feel about these NPR pistons and the kit all together? If this isnt a good kit point me into the direction of a good one please! Also are these oil pumps, water pumps and timing components any good? I cant find OEM waterpumps,oil pumps timing cheap either so if anyone knows of a place if those arent good enough let me know! thanks!

I've used all of the parts other than the timing belt. The water pump's are a tad cheap, but the pistons, oil pump, rings, bearings and gaskets are all good quality.

The timing belt kit I got from that seller broke after 4000 miles and bent 10 valves. Just an FYI.

So whats the best bet getting an OEM waterpump and timing kit?

NPR pistons are basically OEM replacements, that's about the only thing in that kit I would use besides some of the more minor gaskets. You will not find a place that sells all OEM parts for cheap, but if you want it to last, OEM all the way, just expect to triple or quadruple that price for everything, you will thank yourself later.

I bought a topline rebuild kit in my gst. Pistons, rings, bearings, all the gaskets, water pump, oil pump, t-belt. Everything is running very strong. Just about to hit 3k. My brother and his buddies have used the topline kits in the chrysler turbo cars and all have good reports. I haven't had a bad report about topline so far. Pistons are a step up from stock as well. If your gonna buy from ebay I recommend buying a topline kit.

My engine is not somewhere I would want to cheap out on. In my opinion, by the time the ebay parts break or fall apart you will spend double what you would have on a quality item.

in my opinion i asked this same question awhile back and got the same responses you have gotten. to do my timng belt head gasket and water pump and fornt case all oem it cost me around 900 im getting ready to do a real build with forged internals but my engine currently is running strong car itself has hiccups here and there but the engine is strong. I wouldn't recommend shopping on ebay for our parts. anything your really need you can get from the classafieds on here or from one of the venders on here. chances are if you get the same part from one of the venders on here or from ebay its going to be around the same price but you'll have more trust in when its going to get to your house and more one on one with the ppl your dealing with. also you can always search on here for reviews of the venders. I went through jnz tuning for my stuff a cpl months back they where quick and willing to go down to any price anyone else reputable had told me. I've also heard good things about street tuned motorsports. you might also check jackson auto.

The car bent intake valves,bent valves broke the timing belt and trashed that. When I went to turn the crank you can hear the pistons hitting the cylinder wall. And worse of all its a 92.5 7 bolt.

chances our the timing belt snapped and bent the valves. you might try the junk yard for a head to rebuild since yours isdown guess you could just use yours. if your rebuilding you might look into delta regrind cams. I've read alot of good reviews about them on here I plan to go with them soon.

I want to buy a rebuild kit for my car as well but wont if the ebay one is just junk....
