So I just got my new boost gauge, and I am curious how to hook up the gauge. I know the concept, however Im not sure If I can hook it up with what I have, or if I am missing something. When I bought my car, there was this little plastic gizmo that I now recognize to be a T-fitting, more or less. How do I connect the hose that goes to the boost gauge to the T-fitting?

Here are some pics so you know what Im talking about:

Looks like you got everything that you will need. I would put alittler T-fitting in there though that ones way bigger than needed. As for hooking it up check out vfaq.com. It took me about 30 minutes to do the install following these directions.

Also make sure to tape up around where the tubing connects to the metal fittings, the tubing has a tendancy to crack around that part.

Ew you got the nylon lines. What you want to do is cut a bit of a vac line and take one end of the nylon and shove it in the piece of vac line. It should be a tight fit. I'm not sure which vac line you should go with. I'm guessing 1/8. Put some JB weld on the nylon end and then fit the vac line over it. Don't get any JB on the opening or you're screwed. Wait for it to dry and then test it by sucking on it. If air flows freely into your mouth then you're good. I don't know how that T-fitting works as it looks like an adjustable one for multiple taps. Fit the vac line over one of the nipples and put it on the FPR line.

I dont understand how to connect the metal end of the tubing to the t-fitting. The metal part is threaded, but there is no place on the fitting to screw it onto. I see four nipples that I can attach vacuum hoses to, but I dont see a spot that will connect to anything other than a vacuum hose.

This is why I said so buy a different T-fitting. You are still going to have to rig it up some to get it to fit on the T-fitting. This is one of the downfalls to buying a cheap boost gauge off of ebay.

Ahh, I see. Where is a good place to pick up some vacuum line? Would Lowes have any?

Also, where can I get a mount that attaches the boost gauge to the steering column? Are there any specifically made for 1g steering columns?

you can find many mounts/brackets online for 1g's. if you don't wanna wait and feeling creative, just fab up your own bracket, go to a hardware store, buy some bolts and nuts and drill some holes and you got yourself a homemade mount LOL. but yea, go to kragen or an auto parts store and get yourself some vacuum hose and just attach it to the t fitting. remember to cut the right hose LOL and make sure they are on tight, otherwise a leak in the vacuum line will cause your car to put in more fuel than you really need...bad

You can get away with the tubing you have. I went the same way you did and bought a cheaper boost gauge off of ebay. I'v had it installed for almost a year now with no major problems. Just had the tubing crack where it connects to the metal fitting once. Just cut the 1/2 a inch out that cracked and connect it back up and put tape around it. If you put tape around it when you install it you should have to worry about it cracking then.

As for a mount for the gauge itself, check ebay.
