ebay logger users, please help

Hey guys I finally recieved my logger. One problem I dont know how to hook it up. I asked the seller and he said look on the cd he provided. The cd doesnt work
Can someone help me

Palm Desktop program:

Install this program. This has the HotSync manager that will allow your computer to hotsync with the logger. You will need a serial or USB cable to connect your Palm to your PC.

MMCD program. Once you have the Palm Desktop installed, double click on that MMCD file. It will load to the HotSync manager and load to your Palm the next time you HotSync with it.

You've got the two cords which will be used correct? (one connects to the ECU com-port where you would use a voltmeter to check) and that one plugs into another cord which in-turn then goes to your palm. Either way I'm guessing you are wondering which connector connects to which plug in the ECU com-port?

The answer is - I'll tell you tomorrow if you still need to know.

Car is currently at my GF's house and I'm home with my daily driver... so I won't be able to help you until then... Just figured I would cover another non-helpful reply to get more details out of you...

Cable should have adapter to plug into diagnostic port that's on the right side of the fusebox. Then it'll plug into the palm pilot. If it's a DB-9 connector (standard 9 pin connector), then you'll need to plug the serial hotsync cable form the palm pilot into that and then connect it all together. If you didn't get the logger cable with the adapter, that second link shows you what pins on the diagnostic port to connect to.

dont mean to but in but i have mine set up the exact same as just described. everything hooks up to the palm and i get a beep. but every time i try to log it says check connection. wondering what it is.

That is strange. I just got my logger too this past week and mine doesn't beep when I hook it up, it just works. are using MMcd?

it should have came with directions to hook it up...mine works fine...no probs except with my actual palm.
let me see if i can explian this with out pics.....

the bottom pins of the data port are numbered one-five from left too right.
the top pins are numberd six-twelve from left to right

hook up the white/clear wire to pin one
hook up the blue/black wires to ten and twelve

Just make sure you're not using pinout number 11. Clear wire goes to the pin in upper left, and the black go to the bottom right and the pin two up from the bottom right.
