So I have an rsr cat delete downpipe, and I just received my SRS(ebay) catback. Took the stocker off only to find out that the rsr is a couple inches too long. If i were to buy an ebay downpipe, it only makes sense that it would fit the catback perfectly right?

Whats too long the cat back piping?

What does it do, stick out too far in the back?

You could always cut the pipe to fit and reweld it..It's not gonna look as pretty but it will do its job..

It necks down a bit to fit the stock cat but since i have an aftermarket DP, i could only assume the DP is too long. I went to some muffler shops today and was quoted about the same as buying an ebay DP to cut and re-weld.

Just to cet a peice of pipe and reweld they want as much as an ebay DP..That's shocking..

But also your not counting in shipping for the DP..So as fas as your wallet is concerned..The exhaust shop might be cheaper for such a simple job..

well 85-125 from one shop, we all know that means at least $125 and $100 for the other shop. i just came back from outside, its deff the downpipe thats messing everything up. would it be stupid to assume an ebay downpipe would fit an ebay catback? I mean they all come from damn near the same place right?

I would shop around, theres a local muffler shop that i use and they charge $15 to cut and reweld...

Some other well known performance shops charge about $30 a tig weld..

Look at craigslist also, theres alot of mobile welders out there...

and yes it would be stupid to assume that all ebay parts fit eachother... just another reason to do it right the 1st time or not doing it at all ;)
