What does this wire go to? coming off of the wiring to my alternator

Also what goes on this nipple on the intake manifold? I noticed one side was not connected to anything, and was hoping the vacuum line from the other picture went here but it's end looks like it's been around a fitting, the end is swollen on it

On my 2g, the line coming from behind the battery is for the windshield washer fluid. It should connect to a splitter with each of those ends attached to a nozzle.

*EDITED to include more info*

As for the vacuum line, I'd check the EGR valve that's located below the throttle body. It also sounds like someone shoved some type of blocker into the vac line to prevent an air leak. Deleted some sort of emissions perhaps?

I recently rebuilt my throttle body with all new o-rings, mil spec shaft seals and gaskets. Huge improvement!

ahh yes i forgot about this LOL, mine has been disconnected for some time now and i just remembered about it ty.
now what's up with the intake manifold vacuum line? it had a connector on it and the rest of the hose was ripped off, total it was about 3 inches long

what does the egr valve look like? i'm not too good with emissions. the hose isn't blocked or anything, it goes on one of the nipples coming off of the intake manifold. I've seen in the taboo diagram this can be capped off when you deleted the egr but I don't have a tune so I can't bypass any codes, I'll have to keep my emissions for now. Wish I knew if my egr has been blocked off or not

The wire off th8e alternator loom goes to the top of your power steering pimp. There should be a little prong right on top. I dont know what nipple of the IM you're talking about, have a better pic?

Appreciate this, here are some pics

The EGR kind of looks like a 1G bov, at least to me anyways. It's the valve located below the throttle body and it's bolted up to the lower part of the intake manifold by two bolts.

I know what you mean then, it's a bulb looking style (same as bov)
Mine looks to be intact, any insight on this vacuum hose however? Want to get it fixed so I can put my water hoses on and get back on da road :hellyeah:

Upon further investigation I see that the nipple pictured is conjoined with the nipple that goes to the egr valve
It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the charcoal canister either

I got a little frustrated when trying to route all my lines with an ebc and external gate, so I just took them all out. I said it was only a temporary solution, but it's so much simpler and cleaner so I don't see much reason to go back...just a thought.

Here are the diagrams: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...-speed-shop-vacuum-diagram-removal-1g-2g.html

Just so you know your options...:thumb:

This is what I plan on doing after (or immediately prior) to getting a tune, thanks anyway

/e LOL my answer is in your link but the picture is way too damn small to read
