This place is a short walk from the Poindexter and more close to the Yachtsman if we decide there. This is a place where you can drink and hang out right near the road and not have to be worried about the cops giving you shit.

The place is called the beach house. I plan on chilling there a little bit on saturday night to get a few laughs.

I tried to look up the Yachtsman but everywhere I looked it said no rooms available. I did come up with another one I think its the one next to the poindexter, Its the Atlantica I&II. The prices were 55.95/night.
Also, is there anyone that is going from the greensboro area, or is going to be coming through this area on the way, just curious if anyone has a caravan goin?

** I just called and checked on those, the Atlantica and the Poindexter are together. For an Ocean front room for 2 people it Was 114.40 to stay in the Poindexter and 187.00 to stay in the Atlantica. There is a catch though, There is a 200.00 security deposit due at the poindexter and a 400.00 at the Atlantica if you are under 25. The security deposit must be Cash , They wont accept credit cards for the deposit.

well I am up for either hotel Ed, $40-60 a night is not bad if you split it 4 ways. (or is there a price increase per person extra?)

Alright here's the low down... The Poindexter (843)448-8369 has rooms available that weekend, for 2 adults oceanfront it's gonna be $114.40 but the catch is someone has to be 25 or over in the room or else there is a CASh only $200.00 dollar needed at sign in. The Yachtsman (843)448-1441 also has rooms available that weekend. For 2 adults oceanfront it's gonna be $120.00 a night, cityview $89.00 a night and sideview $79.00 a night. But there adult cut off is 22. I noticed conflicting results from the different cheap rate sites so I decided to call.

Second, we had about 6 cars or so when we were at hooters, and when did it take 2 minutes to get from Hooters to the BK???? thats a load of shit.

Myself, I have Friday off... I plan on riding down with the ricer cruise if I can just for the fun of it. If it is a choice between riding down with the DJM cruise at noon or riding with 5 or more DSM later.. of coarse I will ride with the DSMs.

if you are going, what time can you leave.

Also... Kris.. you don't HAVE to bring your car, look at Doug the first year, Charlie EVERY time, and I am taking the EVO, so don't put out that BS excuse... I understand the car is broke but like I said before.. it's about the COMRADERY.

The price that I posted for the Poindexter was for the 2 nights combined. Sorry about the confusion, and I'm basicly in the same boat as 4x4. So that's atleast 2 dsm's.

This is the way it is going to be.

I'm making reservations for myself at the Quality Inn at 1301 N WITHERS DR Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. The telephone number is 843-626-8566. Rooms are $39.95 a night for two beds. The hotel is the one in the background of the picture Ed took of "the beechhouse". It's the bar with the porch right on the street. Just do a search on that hotel and you'll find it. I tried linking to it but they didn't pull up the page right.



I've talked with Ed and this is where he is going to stay as well. Idea being... view of the strip (ricers), walking distance to alcohol, stumbling distance back to hotel. They have 19 rooms available as of 8:30 tonight. I also called this place below. It's Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort. It's located at 1601 N. Ocean Blvd. SURFSIDE BEACH, SC 29575

Rooms were $35.00 a night for non-smoking and $45.00 a night for smoking. They had 38 rooms available tonight as well. The phone number I called was a national directory at Toll-Free: 866 661 5139.

We've never taken up twenty rooms before so staying at the first hotel won't be a problem so long as there's no procrastinators. For those that wait or want to stay elsewhere, try and group together and stay at the second hotel.

Edit: My room has now been reserved and paid for. I will be in the upper levels and in a non-smoking room. This is now going to be the begining of a "LIST" that everyone has been waiting for. If you are going, you copy and paste the list, put the next number in and your name next to it.
An example of this list will be like this:

I would also like to add that this is a CHAIN hotel, and usually they are pretty good with upkeep. I say "usually" Looked good from the outside and it also has a covered pool.

Nice parking area also.
