I was wondering if the Evo III O2 housing be a direct bolt on to a Apex 3inch Downpipe? Any Infor?

*correct me if i'm wrong*

the evo 3 o2 housing will not fit the stock downpipe properly. ANY downpipe that has the 2 bolt flange will fit. [ the DP's that you have to use a nut/bolt to fasten, not just a nut like the stocker ]

Correct the EVO O2 housing will not fit stock downpipe. You have to get an aftermarket DP.

From what I understand, you need to have the flange to be slotted. And the N1 might fit, but it will stress the flex section too much. Again, I heard that from someone else. Can anyone confirm this?

I don't know about the ni, but I got my downpipe from MachV, and with the evo housing it puts a big enough angle on the piping that it will rub the driveshaft, I had to get mine cut and rewelded. :thumbdown. that is on a 1g awd though, If you had a fwd it might not be a problem. Not for sure though, it might put a stress on the flex pipe.

You can make the stock dp work, I ran mine with the stock dp for a few days while waiting for the RRE dp to come in the mail... You do have to cut the bolt holes so they are more like slots, the you can fit the larger bold pattern of the evo to fit the stock dp... It definitely puts a lot of strain on the flex section though.. so I wouldn't reccomend runnig this setup for a long time...
