Dyno Question

How do you dyno a car? I have seen the whole setup and cars being dynoed but what do I do behind the wheel?

usually one of the guys who runs the dyno will be in the car driving it.

not from what i have seen, the one's i have seen are ones set up on a flat-bed truck at car shows and that's the one i want to do?

still there is someone there operating the dyno.

yea but what do you do? like how do you drive the car?

if you are driving the car you will causally get into 3RD gear and when the computer is ready you nail it then let off.

so i just casually drive to third gear and when the guy inside my car tells me to go WOT i do? how do i know when to stop?

this is just repeating it self, you shouldn't have to drive, actually i wouldn't want to make the pull. when we had my race car dynoed the shop manager was int he car cause he was watching the dyno computer and operating the dyno brake.

so you shouldn't have to make the pull.

Just leave it at redline untill it blows up and you will know when to shut er down.

In all seriousness you shouldent have to drive it. If you do they will tell you exactly what to do. Its basically just a pull to redline
