Dyno Question

I'm not sure how a Dyno works. Is it just one reading that covers every gear? Or is there a different reading for each gear? I want to know if the powerband is the same for each gear, or if it's different. Like if the reading shows the powerband drop at 7k rpm, does that mean the car loses power after 7k for every gear or just one specific gear?

I believe that when you go on the dyno you want to be in the gear that gives you the closest 1:1 ratio.

You can dyno in whatever gear you want, either way all it does is tell you how much hp and tq your car is putting out. I don't wanna type everything out, search www.google.com
