Now I dont have a data logger but I was reading up about them and I want to get one but Im only 16 and I have never accually tuned a car, but I would like to learn is any of this right and do I even need it? I read the V faq for the TMO Tuning-Tips and it said I had to figure this out so I did now I need to to do the Fuel trims how am I to go and get those???

Any help on what I need to make the Logger work and what numbers I will need to imput on it when I get it would be awsome.. Thank you

Loggers don't make changes, they just give you the "what's happening." You would need an AFC or something along those lines to change fuel amounts.

I have a S-AFC But I dont get it what does the logger accually do.. I just plug it in do a run and tell you guys what I got, what can you change on it?

You have stock injectors? You probably won't be making too many changes, but with the turbo you've got, you are probably running lean if you are on 450's. The logger will tell you if this is true or not. Set it to log RPM, knock and timing, click go and run the car from 3k-7k with the throttle at 100%. Post the results and you will get some opinions on what is happening.

Your idc's arnet exactly correct. Look here

You need to get a logger and logger cable to monitor ipw so you can convert it to idc. All you can do is monitor, not tune with the logger. And all the idc will tell you is how hard you are working the injectors. The fuel trims will be displayed on the logger so that would be pretty stright forward.

You will also need an afc, afpr, or something similar in order to adjust fuel trims.

k thanks alot guys I will get the logger and post my log, any gear you want me to run 3k-7k in or 1st is fine?

No you will whiz through the RPM's too quickly in 1st. 3rd if you can, but 2nd will do. Really 3rd means you are speeding so unless you are at a track...do 2nd.
