I just bought a 98 GST a week ago , looking to do some minor mods to it for now , I was wondering what the main advantage's are of having a Dual stage Boost Control rather then a single stage if there is any...Sorry if this was already asked i searched it and didn't see anything :dsm:

the main reason for running a dual stage boost controller is so you can boost at low RPMs when launching so you don't spin the tires, then you hit the switch and get higher boost when the tires can hook up better. A dual stage controller can be used on any car, but they are used on the most part on FWD cars cause of traction problems

P.S. - I apologizr for any problems with my post cause i'm not suber but I hope this helps you out.

especially on a quick spooling t25 a dual stage will work wonders, especially when launching.

set the low to as low as it can get, i think 11 is the lowest the wg spring can go to. when you launch you will still get wheelspin in 1st but its manageable, then hit 2nd and get a chirp and once traction is achieved flick the switch and go to whatever you want your high boost to be.

i bought a dejon tool dual stage(med-high, low-med doesnt matter) and bought one of those safety toggle switches they use on fighter jets and such, with the safety cover that you have to arm before you flick the toggle. kinda nifty, people will always ask what it does, kinda fun to tell them "oh thats the high boost switch, you dont wanna touch that unless under extreme circumstances".

though i rarely close the switch and run 11psi now on my setup. ill do it if i run someone from a stop or at the track though.
