Ok i took on a big project last week with changing out my big 16g, manifold, fmic, 1gtb, walbro 190, and some exhaust stuff. My problem is that i get this miss either when i try to accelerate or when i just got done accelerating. It is ususally in the number 1 cylinder but sometimes number 2. I have taken out the plugs and cleaned them and they seem black in those cylinders mostly one. When i clean them and put them back in It runs awesome for about thirty minutes then it will start to miss again.

The only thing i have done to my ignition slash fuel system is that 190. I know that this is supposed to run with the stock fpr but what if my fpr wasnt quite up to spec could the 190 be overunning my stock fpr and causing my 1 and 2cylinders to miss under these conditions?

Also i have a 91 tsi and it has a brand new stock fpr on it can i swap that one out with my 96 and try it out or are they not compatible? If not why?

I think you need to start with the basics. The fact that you're cleaning the plugs and they're re-loading doesn't lead me to believe that your FPR is being overrun (at least not at this stage) since the overrun on a 190 is minimal. It sounds more like a spark issue (random cylinder misfire). I would test your coil packs and replace your wires before digging into this as a fuel issue.

Let us know what you find,

Andy

Hmm I know im no wiseman, but my freind just blew up a piston, because the injector in cylinder 2 wasnt getting gas into the cylinder head causing him to sometimes get a crazy backfire or somthing he though was fuel cut. So maybe check the o rings on your injectors and make sure there is no gas puddling outside or anything like that.

Ok well i have new accel plug wires 1 month ago and there is also no leaking o-rings, the reason i dont think is anything in the ignition coil packs is because the car ran awesome right before i did all of this and now runs like crap.

Have you checked to make sure you don't have any air leaks after the turbo? Since you did a lot of work on piping, etc, you could have a decent leak.
