Well its that time of month again for Round #2 of the Grand Bayou Race Series. This round I have the new Ground Control Coilovers on and was very excited to get out there and see if the car will actually turn now. Thats a key point to have in road racing :D

I am not going to go into full detail until I have some time here to do a full write-up but I will say this....The Coilovers were AWESOME !!! The car turned when and where I needed it to. It really blew me away that my TSi could turn like that. Understeer taken care of....Check.

Now to some more good news. I ran my personal best lap time over the weekend, a 1:26.8. Now to the bad news.....I blew my 4th gear in my transmission in the heat race as well. Weekend over :notgood::cry:

More to come in my full write-up later today.....

Time to contact TRE about a sponsorship contract???

TRE is a must. Eddie, give me a call. We work close with TRE. Might be able to help you out.

HAHAHAHA.....That is very funny as I am sitting here reading an E-Mail from Jon Ripple right now LOL

Yesterday when I was in the office that was the 1st website I went to was TRE's. I like everything on there with both the 2.5 & stage 3 builds with LSD. Now I know everyone will say get the quaife put in while I am at it, but funding here (fiance') just does not condone spending that kind of mony for a quaife. Reading what Jon had to say made allot of sense.

Marti - I will be calling you here in like 20 minutes, you at the shop? Hopefully we can work something out :thumb:

good to talk to you Eddie. Jon is the MF'in man! His transmission work on the EVOs in our race program have been an absolute god send!

You too Marti. Yeah, I have been E-Mailing Jon back and forth all day yesterday. He knows what he is talking about and doing. He suggested a few things to me that made allot of sense. He was telling me to just have you guys ship my tranny over to him and he can get in there and see what all I need to have done. So I will have to drop my tranny and get it on its way up to you guys early next week.

Most likey will go with the stage 3 tranny with an LSD. Only reason going with the stage 3 instead of the stage 2.5 is all the gears are shot peened so the tranny will last longer. I get the drive train issues resolved in combination with the new suspension package, the car is going to be ready really start dialing it in.

Im going to be hitting some NASA races up this summer for sure. Maybe we can join forces at one :thumb:

So whats up with the car Eddie? Get the tranny issue all taken care of?

It should ship out today or tomorrow from Jon at TRE. I want be able to make Round #4 and that is a big bummer for me. But with the extra time, I will be able to go through the car and install all the new things I got for X-mas and make sure the car is in tip top shape for the rest of the series.

I really wanted to make a run at the overall championship this year, but looks as though it will have to wait till next year. I am going to be running some NASA Pro Races coming up in the summer though. Road Atlanta for sure and maybe VIR. I will have the car really sorted by then.

Will you be at NASA's HSDE event on March 14th at Road Atlanta? I am pritty sure I'll be making a road trip and attending that event, maybe I'll see ya there.

No actually, not that one. I will be doing the NASA Pro Series Performance Touring sprint races in August 7-9 of this year. And possibly the one in December. Not sure on that one yet. Could be the one in October depending on scheduling for my series.

Talked to Jon today and my tranny will ship out on Thursday. So it should be here in Florida and in by the end of next week. Then we can get to work on tweaking the suspension stuff and finishing out the car for the rest of the GBRS and NASA races.
