when my mechanic told me it looked like the caps had melted on my stage 3 ecu from keydiver, so i sent it back they said there was nothing wrong with it n sent it back to me

After a new alternator and rebuilt starter I got from these very classifieds my mechanic finally got my car started after years but he did so because he had a non chipped stock ecu lying around.

"started, stalled. acting funny. Died."- That was the last text i got from my mechanic when he tried my ecu.

GEN 2 MAFT works fine after he went through some simple screens in what year the eclipse was and what kinda MAF i was running it started right up, again with the stock ecu.

I had the stage 3 ecu programmed for my 660cc injectors an some other stuff a stage 3 from keydiver would entail but I dont know if the thing is infact fried or if it could be something in the programming:hmm:

Have you tried contacting Jeff? He's got a very good reputation for customer service. I am actually going to be sending my ECU to him very soon for flashing. So please update the thread when you find out what's causing this.:)

Edit: I just noticed that you have a '93 so never mind about the flashing.LOL

Hmmm kinda strange. Might need more info as to the background of your car. You said it had been sitting for over a years time not being able to start? What happened originally?

getting it painted at a vocational school took like half a year instead of a couple months, then i worked on it myself in a remote garage and accumulated parts, among them the keydiver ecu and Gen2 maft...

originally it had a non chipped ecu and an SAFCx VPC combo with a 550cc chip even tho i have 660cc injectors and that was tuned just fine till i bought a bunk 660cc chip which fried it. So apparently a stage 3 and a gen 2 work great together in that i can adjust timing if i wanted among other things, better yet with a wideband which is going in soon.

I had never turned the car on myself since its been painted (goddammit) let alone with the keydiver ecu it didnt even have a battery when I was working on it, an after I had got the suspension components done and the GEN2 properly wired to the harness thats when I ran out of personal time and had it flat beded to my current mechanic with a fast 1GA of his own.
