alright so i just picked up a 95 talon esi and am looking to turbo it. need some info on cheapest parts to get and what parts i need to turbo it

i wouldn't even bother putting a turbo kit on a 420a. theres one running around up here and its got no balls. i think your best bet would be getting into a 1g tsi awd or gsx that way you have awd and turbo. :thumb:

You should be able to find some really useful information here. A turbo kit isn't going to be "cheap" for a non-turbo 2nd gen. You could probably save a few bucks by shopping around and piecing it together yourself. Use these sites I linked to above to as a reference to get you started. A complete kit from hanh or from star would be the ideal way to go imo. You'd be getting a complete kit and the engineering on these kits is tried and tested. I take it that your're new to the DSM world. Welcome and goodluck. :)

research this in the threads man. do a search and it will tell you plenty of information.

Since he just picked the car up I doubt he's gonna resell it and get a turbo model. And there is a turbo 420a here that has over 340hp to the ground so don't say they have no balls. Just depends on how you do it and how much time is in it. Turboing a 420a is no small task but if you have to do it I would check out www.vfaq.com. They have a great writeup on what you need and how to do it. It takes a LOT of time and a lot of middle change's need to be made. If you are up for having some serious downtime on your car then go for it. Take's a lot of money to get one done right. Last one I did was upwards of 3200 when it was all said and done with machine work (porting and polishing) and upgrading internals to handle the boost.
