Drivers Door won't lock

My Drivers side door will not lock on my 95 GST. I ripped off the door panel and didnt see any loose wires. One person said that the Actuator is frozen and I need a new one. Dealer says the part is 220 ### it comes with door latch too. Any other way to figure this out before i blow 220 bucks?????

I installed 2 of these in my car this summer and they work great. Fairly easy to install as well.

Go to a junkyard and look for a sebring or an avenger with power locks. They seem to use the same parts.

Will it not lock at all (does it lock with the key), or just will not lock using power locking.
