#1 How do you remove the mirror in the side mirrors? I want to take them off and repaint them but I don't know exactly how to remove the mirror.

#2 How do you take apart the sun visors? I'm going to redo my headliner in black vinyl and was wondering how to go about doing the same to the sun visors except with a diff color.

1. Prying up on the bottom of the mirror is supposed to remove the glass. I'd try it at a junkyard, first.

2. They pop apart, and pop back together. Supposedly. I've not gotten one to open up, yet. I suspect dave99gst may have some emperical evidence that it doesn't exactly work that way. An upholstry shop should know how to do it, though.

if anyone knwos how to do this I'd love to know too.
planning on adding a single orange led to the factory mirrors as a turn indicator...
When i figure out how to get the mirror out so i can get to it!

Well, here's what the factory thinks will work, but I'll let one of you guys prove it.

when you take teh visors 'apart' well. not really.

Lets start over. the way they are made is that they take a flat piece of plastic, put teeth allaround teh edge. on the opposite side of the teeth they put the headliner material and wrap it around, then they fold it in half so the teeth bite down together and secure it.

you can cut and remove the headliner material away, and then replace it by using a flat head and pushing the headliner into the edge so the teeth can bite it.

does that make sense?

use some hot glue where glue used to be within the visors, close it shut. depending on how fast you are with a hot glue gun, maybe try using some silicon to allow more time to apply, then shut. check my cardomain site, i just re-did my visors. more pictures and better explinations will be updated when i finish my drivers side

Pry off inner trim triangle, tighten 3 nuts. Don't go ape with any of it, pull off the trim while it's warm so it's less likely to break.

If you mean the glass is loose, try a dab of silicone seal.

I mean the glass inside the housing is loose, where do I put a dab of silicone? How do i fix this annoying rattle.

Anyone found an answer to this yet?

Mine doesn't ratter, it shakes and looks loose compared to the passenger side mirror when I play music.

Mine is doing the same thing on my drivers side after close inspection one of the plastic tabs is broken so it isn't secured totally. I would just double check to make sure you aren't having that problem.

My driver side mirror was rattling when I drove at highway speed so I picked up a set from a friend and found a screw on the bottom of the mirror. I just tightened it up a little. It seems a little more firm in the mirror case. I haven't drove the car since though.
