i wonder what his timeslip looks like on pump

A lot of crap and something like 60whp ago he ran some flat 12s to high 11s (like 11.8x) at around 120mph. Dre should stop worrying about making more power on the dyno and go practice at the track some more to get a real et. He likes to race on the street though so I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

I just wanted to know for informational purposes. I have the 50Trim right now; I know damn well i will never hit that amount of power. All I seen is that he made 466 on pump the obvious question would be HuMm... I wonder what turbo he is using? :thumb:

From what ive heard danny i think its the same turbo kit we have, just with diffrent wheels in it.

Dave is very correct, dre is a mastermind when it comes to his AEM engine management. i doubt anyone with the same exact setup would ever make that power that dre does.

I heard from agp that they are gonna switch the exhaust wheel to a smaller one to see what kind of power he can make.

John Shepard, Curt Brown, etc... could do the exact same thing if they wanted to. Low 12s is already enough to kill anything you come upon on the street, most people don't care *that* much about pumpgas power and aren't trying to eek out 10hp anyway they can.
Not trying to knock Dre, but when he is one of the only people trying to do what he is doing it's kind of hard to compare.

Dre's numbers are very nice.

There is a line though, where the serious guys don't go dyno'ing or racing much on pump gas.

Dre's numbers would THEN be only slightly wild enough to write home about. ;)

Curt Brown went 127/128mph on his FWD last year with the FP Green and pump gas. Basically full weight FWD. 500whp FWD's are known to run similar traps. ;)

What the hell does this have to do with this thread, nothing.

Dre = :thumb:
I definitely consider his car one of the best examples of what a DIY DSMer is capable of. I can't wait to see what he does with his next project car, a mkiv supra.

there is a supra for sale near me for $23K 6 speed targa twin turbo black on black with 88k miles

Brendon:dsm:

well isn't dre looking for a supra. try finding one for that price in theat trim.

I agree, thats a great price :thumb:. If only I knew about that car before I got my dsm......I still wouldnt have had enough money .

but enough disscusion about this...

AGP t3/t4 kits rock. AEMs rock. Magnus manifolds rock. HKS 272/272 cams rock.

I should know, I have it all. :)

On 14psi, with me tuning my car, car feels fast as hell. Better than 20psi on the VPC. I think we shall see another 400+ hp car on pump pretty soon.

Is Pete's car almost ready? I thought we were still waiting on the new IC setup for it. :D

His FWD only had the backseats, spare, jack, etc removed. Basically how most of us drive around on the streets. :)

ALL of Mr Brown's cars are super light. Light enough that its almost impossible to compare anything he does to anything anyone else does. I have no reason to think the FWD was any different.

You obviously never saw it then.

His FWD was his street car, with nice stereo, etc. When he went 135mph with a Green, it wasn't gutted or anything, just the backseats and usual EASY reductions were made. Maybe ~100lbs at most.

Alot of people saw it, I am not lying. :) His awd on the other hand..

Curt's FWD was a real car.
