Door refuses to lock.

I recently had to replace my passengers side window because my car got broken into and just now when i got my window put in the guy told me that the regulator looked bent...he said it was bent from trying to roll up or roll down the window with broken glass inside...but anyway my door refuses to lock even when i push it manually into the locked position...does anybody know whats wrong? thanks kevin

Could be a couple things, but I'm sure once you take the door apart and look around it will become obvious, fast. Sounds like someone damaged that rod that runs the length of the door, a brain fart won't let me think of the name of it right now.

It could also be that your alarm might be off. If you have the stock one that was put on it you might just need to re-set it the system. When you hit the lock botton does it lock then unlock right away? It tells you in the manual if you don't have it I'm sure you can find out how on the net.

yea ive been trying to twist the rod so it would work but its still not working...the little rubber boot on the end of the purple regulator is torn...i guess its called a regulator...but yea i have the stock alarm

Sounds like the same thing with the car that I bought. Just before I bought it someone broke in on the drivers side causing the window to break and glass fall into the door. When I got the car I couldn't get the door to lock for the life of me; I looked around and everything was still connected but it still wouldn't lock. Turns out a piece of glass fell into the right spot and it was prevent the mechanism from working. Removed it and now all is well.

took it to safelite...they fixed it in 10 minutes...the guy said that the piece of glass was down in the lock so now im good to go...thanks guys...
