dome light doesnt come on

when ever i go to open my doors my dome light doesn't come on. i can push the ON button and they will come on, but they dont come on when i open the doors?

Push in the middle button and mess with the switch for it that the door hits.

Mine comes on when I open the drivers door but it wont when i open passenger door.

Most likely a door jamb switch. Those things give out and get dirty over time. Sometimes you can get some contact cleaner and spruce it up.

actually thinking about it, that is probably the case, because the door dinger doesnt go off either.

I just replaced both of my door jamb switches, they were terribly corroded. It is really easy to do, and they are cheap right from the dealer. Just one screw holds them on, under that rubber cover. Just don't let the wire fall back inside the hole when you unplug the old one...you'll have a fun time fishing it back out.
