doing a pressure test some ?'s

so on monday i am going to pressure test my engine because i have a leak some where. i already know that i need to use a compressor and not a bike pump. when i find the leak what shouild i use to patch it? i know that it will be different with different surfaces. when there is a leak is is most of the time a seal or is there useually a hole some where? any other advise id appreciate it i've never done this and im a little nervouse about it to be honest. thanx

It's normally either because a bad gasket,Leaky BOV, hole in a vacumm line, or a ripped coupler.

Bad ones would be a hole in the IC or in one of the IC pipes.

For mine I used a radiator tester with a custom rig to hook it ot my turbo. You pump it by hand, so I'm pretty sure you could use a bike pump if you wanted.
