Does my timing advance seem right?

OK, I just did a log and I only peaked around 13 degrees of advance around 6500rpm. This log was after I installed a fmic and evo3. I am also running 10 psi. Before, on the 14b and stock smic, I was getting over 20degrees of timing advance on about 15psi. Isnt it bad for my timing to be that low? I heard that having your timing below 14degrees is too hot for cast parts to handle. Whats going on here?
-Thank you

The car has been sitting for a little over three weeks. Could the old gas be contributing to this?

Yea whenever you pull timing your combustion occurs later in the power stroke, raising your exhaust gas temperate, therefore heating up your exhaust manifold more than usual.

SO what could I do with my timign advance right now. Should I stop running it like that because its too hot or what. Should I try it with fresh gas. Since I put a fmic on and evo 3, was there anything I should have done to the base ignition timing. IM pretty sure its set to 5*BTDC

Verify that your base timing is set at 5 deg, shouldn't have to adjust it for the new parts but always good to verify its correct before you go any further. What does your timing curve look like on the logger? Is it continually rising or are there dips? Sounds like you may be seeing some knock & timing is being pulled. Timing is usually compared at redline so with 13 deg at 6500 you may have see a couple of degrees more by redline. If you were running much more boost, then this may be slightly lower then expected but being your only running 10 psi, your advance should be a good amount higher.

Considering 1g maps peak much higher than 2g maps if timing was being pulled due to knock, youd have to be knocking an awful lot because most untuned 1g maps reach peak somewhere in the low 20s and 13 is very low; especially for only 10 psi. You need to give us some more logs and tell us everything the logger says because even having your coolant temps rise over 205 will cause 1deg of timing to be pulled back.
FYI I run 18-19 deg of timing on 19-20 psi daily w/ out knock. 13 degs is fine if your running a stroker with high boost but too low for a 2.0 tune with low boost you mustve lost a chunk load of torque...
Give us more info.

well ill try and put some fresh gas in the car due to the fact that the gas has just been sitting in the tank for over 3 weeks.
