Here, I have a 525+WHP DSM, that IS driven on the street, and has no less then 450WHP when I take it out.

I wanna make it perfectly clear i'm not calling B.S. but you say your car CAN make 500hp+ but you are only running a best of high 11s in the quarter???? what gives?

ET has very little to do hp. Check out his MPH and figure it out. Besides, Ian's car is damn fast.

On a side note, you owe me a ride Ian. I will be in Toronto in 2-3weeks. :D
 
i know et has little to do with power and i do know speed is an indication of power;however, 120mph traps are still where I would call slow for that mph estimate....

I DO NOT DOUBT he is making that power just making an obsevation.
 
Check out my website for various dyno charts. I didn't say "it could make", it does make 526.6WHP on C16, and 435WHP on pump gas and 21#'s. I will however explain to you the slow ET's. The whole season my tranny was being a #####, it didn't really like shifting at 8500-9000rpm. I made that 526.6WHP figure in September, with two events left. I ended up at the second last event breaking the transmission. It would have to go from first, to third and I powershifted fourth. This netted me 12.0et's at 125-126mph. At the last event (Oct. 20th) the tranny was fixed but now the lower IC pipe was blowing off at the 1/8th mile. I did various 12.5's at 96-97mph. When I ran the 11.7 it stuck on to about the 1000 foot mark, and I got 111.94mph out of it. This is why my ET's and MPH's may not be the greatest. After I fixed the IC pipe I went back to the track on pump gas and 19#'s (around plain 400whp), and ran low 12's at 116-118mph.

However, most cars making my power that weigh 3000+lbs do trap in the mid to high 120's.

Tevenor, hey man anytime. Two or three weeks will give me time to fix the broken seal from my passenger front shaft to the tranny. She has been leaking fluid for a little while. Plus, you never know, I may have the 35R in by then. :) Just give Marco a call and tell him to call me or something.

Do you(or other front mount guys) have any problems with objects in the intercooler??
 
Bohrn - Thanks a lot man. I have a few little bent fins, but its nothing major. I have never had anything large enough hit it to do damage however. And the only object that got stuck in it was a rather large June Bug, which was pretty nasty. hahaha.
 
hehe, I have had a bat, a bird and lots of bugs in my radiators in the past.

I figured that with that big thing sticking out there for all the world to see, you would get rocks, sticks and other crap in there.

Also, I figured that a$$h0les would kick it in just to prove what they were
