Do those vinyl repair kits really work?

We've all seen the infomercial about these kits.

I wanted to know how well they work..if at all.
This is for my door panel so the material wont be too tight and wont be tugged on.

they work for small gashes and such,but not for your particular problems.I would just look into finding another panel or re gluing your current one.

What is that, a 914?

No, the patch stuff won't hold up on that kind of seam. It's okay for cigarette burns and minor splits, but nothing like that.
