I don't know how much it can handle... or handle reliably.. but I've seen 31 psi being run before

your limit will be in horsepower and torque, not pressure. So no answer in psi will be accurate.

well how about this.. a 4g( is now the new eclipse dumb!) and specify this because when i talk about a 1g its a first gen.. and not a 1g63.. and same as a 2g, 3g andd now the 4g. so thank you for your post.

How about you sit back and think for a minute how stupid that question is. If this really is a question at anything other than a high school auto shop then I sincerely hope you are not having these people work on your car. Boost pressure alone will not determine when a internal part failure will occur. I've seen 28 psi on a completely stock 6 bolt before, stock headgasket, stock studs, everything. While at the same time I've seen people blow headgaskets at 18 psi. The amount of airflow and state of tune will have a drastic effect on cylinder pressures, not just boost pressure.
