It's time for me to get the Evo smogged (emmisions test). I'm not worried about passing, but I do have a PLX SM-AFR sensor installed in the test pipe. I have put the stock downpipe and stock cat on and kinda wondering what to do with the sensor. I want to keep it safe and tucked away out of sight, but I don't want to remove everything. I have unplugged the power to the sensor module and have the sensor wrapped and zip tied in a bag under the interior carpet. Is that good enough? Any other ideas? With the power disconnected there's no way the sensor is going to heat up and start a fire, right?

That's right, just remember to take the sensor out before restoring power :ohdamn: Are you going to smog with any mods at all?

I have 264's that are going to stay in, an upgraded intercooler, K&N panel in the stock air box, O2 housing (hidden behind heat shield), and a catback. I flashed the ecu back to stock and threw in some stock injectors. Hmmm... come to think of it I have a stock paper filter somewhere in the garage too. I wanna throw in some fresh plugs too.
LOL That would seriously suck if I plugged the box back in, had the sensor under wraps, and turned the car on.

The 264's may kill you but the filter and o2 are fine. Ask the teck to stop the test if he thinks you are gonna fail (if the stages of the test take too long to switch).
has anyone passed with 264's in cali?

I'm not worried. DSM's and Evo's out here are getting away with 272's.
