Well I have been trying to clean up the engine bay area. I been making cleaning it up quite abit. But I have one problem. I have this crap all over on the paint. Its kinda black dull on the paint like a really hard dirt or something. Anyone else have this problem. Or how to get it off?

Sounds like run of the mill road grime. Dirt, oil, rubber, you name it, it cakes up. I had to spray mine with degreaser and pressure wash it, luckily the engine was out and it made it very simple. This may sound weird, but try some coke, as in coca-cola. Its an old trick, but it does work for engine degreasing...some of the old timers will testify to that...

Watch out with certain degreaser's as they can make rubber expand if it is sprayed on it. I would not say using coke unless you are washing it off imdiatelly wash it off, because it will be sticky, and more stuff will stick to your engine bay. If you have the time I would say try a hand scrub brush :D

I use cheap-o STP foaming engine degreaser, and a spare nail brush. *bling*
