Alright I am looking at a 2G 95 AWD that has a full 6 bolt swap. The guy that did the swap has the 1G pump on there. Does anyone know the differences that the 1G pump has vs the 2G pump? Would the 2G pump work better?

Right now the car feels like it has NO power steering, there appears to be fluid in the resovoir and no visible leaks. Any ideas!?

I am not bumping my thread although Autozone shows a different pump for 1G AWD and 2G AWD.

If it works fine, just swap to the 2g when you get a chance for your peace of mind, i doubt the 2g is that much better though. I agree, they do look different. Has the power steering been working fine?

I believe there is a difference in the pressure produced by 1G and 2G pump. Are you sure the pump that is currently on the car is ok? Usually when the pump goes bad is makes noise. If you have or can borrow the equipment test the pump pressure.
