In my 95 GST Eclipse what are the differences between a RearO2 and Front O2? My front O2 took a crap on me after almost 120,000 miles on it and my friend has a new rear o2 he's willin to give me but he says they are different.

Well, the rear one tells the ECU if the front one is working. So yes they are different. Go get one from Kragen/Schukers/Checker whatever.

I think he meant what is physically or electronically different with them.

However, I can't give you any more info other than what the last two guys said.

Ahh yes...I was just correcting Jebus

Well, according to Mitsu they have different part numbers...but that doesn't tell you much. They had 3 part numbers for 1 bolt I went to go pick up.

I want to say they are slightly different. I'm not 100% certain but I think the front one is heated and the rear one is not. You shouldn't use the one for the rear for your front one. I purchased one from my local checker/kragen store and it didn't come with the plug so I had to cut wires and tap it into my old one. Kinda sucked. I would recommend oem for easy plug and play.

I just want a quick fix before christmas :( I'm hoping to get a wideband o2 sensor as a present and if thats so I dont want to waste 80$ on a new sensor and then get a 300$ wb :) Thanks guys.
